Trip to the L.O.C.A.L. Garden

Our class trip to the L.O.C.A.L. Garden on Tuesday, September 23 was a success. The students truly enjoyed this experience and had a wonderful time picking pumpkins, flint corn, and corn stocks. As a class we brought one pumpkin each, six flint corn cobs, and several corn stocks back to our school. We are using both our flint corn and corn stocks as decorations throughout the school and our classroom. As a fundraising project, we sold our pumpkins that we picked for one dollar each to the students and their families. This money will be donated back to the L.O.C.A.L. Garden to assist them in growing pumpkins for next year. This was a wonderful experience for our students to learn about pumpkins, and practice our counting skills. We had wonderful support from all families. Thank you all so much!
