Sunflower Exploration

Today, we explored and answered the question "How do the parts of plants help them survive and grow?" As a class, we went on a mini field trip to explore our sunflower garden at Dike Newell. We discussed our observations and predictions, and continued by cutting down two sunflowers and to bring them into our classroom to start our own exploration.

Maine Wildlife Park

We loved our trip to the Maine Wildlife Park in Gray, Maine today! We learned so much about hibernation, migration and adaptation from the animals!

Mini Pumpkin Fundraising

Today, our friend Laurie Burhoe from the L.O.C.A.L. Garden came into collect her donations from our class's fundraiser. She came with a few more surprises for our class. We greatly enjoyed her visit.
